TEC notifies Indian Telecommunication Security Assurance Requirements (ITSAR) for Mandatory Testing & Certification for Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE)
Telecommunication Engineering Centre has notified that starting from July 1, 2023 the communication security comes into force with two product lines – Wi-Fi CPE & IP Router. The standards – Indian Telecom Security Assurance Requirement (ITSAR) are finalized and are on the MTCTE portal. While submitting the applications for Wi-Fi CPE & IP Router, on or after July 1, 2023 for TEC MTCTE certification, the compliance to the respective ITSAR also comes into force.
For the products that are already certified or whose applications are in process as of July 1, 2023, would also be covered under the ITSAR mandate to get an integrated MTCTE certificate. The provision shall be made through the option of certificate modification in the MTCTE portal once it is made live for accepting the application including security testing.
